To explore one of the oldest mediums through a modern lens, I utilized robotic 3D printing to create 3D clay forms from 2D linework.
3D forms are created with a single, unbroken 2D line rather than a 3D surface.
This technique allows for a variety of new geometry, including 3D textures and 2D images draped over 3D forms.
